RED SOX NATION - VILLAGES FOUNDATION

Harnessing the passion of Red Sox Nation – Villages to make a difference in the lives of youth, veterans and families in need by improving their health, educational and recreational opportunities. The Foundation supports other non-profits in our local communities that focus on youth sports, veterans and families in need. And, it awards the Art Plant Founder’s Scholarship annually. As a 501(c)(3), donations are tax-deductible by the donor to the extent permitted by law. Individuals age 70 1/2 or older may make qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) up to $100,000 annually from their IRAs - without including them in their gross income. |
HISTORY |
From 2019-2023, RSNV awarded 13 scholarships totaling $8,000 and donated more than $12,000 to other non-profits, including: |
- Lady Lake Little League, Wildwood Little League, The Villages Charter High School, Wildwood Middle High School, Harborview Elementary School - Honor Flight, Village Vets - Helping Hands Food Bank, St. Paul, St. Teresa Food Bank, Wildwood Soup Kitchen - ALS Foundation, Jimmy Fund, St. Jude Research Hospital, Special Olympics |
